CFQ International was founded in 2003 by Marc S. Block, on the belief that Six Sigma is a methodology, not a tool set. He believes that too many consultancies are pushing toolboxes and checklists on their
clients without the “golden thread” to hold it all together. For example, the Six Sigma improvement
methodology is really nothing more than 5 basic questions:

1. What are we doing, and why?

2. What are the baseline facts?

3. What are the vital few, validated root causes of our current problems?

4. How can these root causes best be eliminated?

5. How can we implement the solution and make it ‘stick’?
